A sign that a cold spell is on the way is that the catfish have been having a munch at Shatterford Fishery, topped off by a massive fish of 68lb 7oz to Stacey Brimmel, who fished meat on Masters Pool.

Another notable cat included a fish of 37lb to Dudley’s Mark Ralley who had never caught one before and fished pop-up boilies on Masters Lake. Pershore angler Stuart Goscott tempted a 24-pounder on strawberry flavoured meat and Halesowen angler Daniel Barnsley also fished meat for catfish of 25lb and 34lb.
