Christchurch Angling Club’s Team of coaches were on hand at Moors Valley’s
Freshwater Festival on the 18th 19th June 2011 to give over 170 budding
enthusiasts a chance to catch a fish and learn a little about angling.

Catch of the weekend went to 11 year old Lucy Smyth with this magnificent
19 1/2lb common.  Lucy might be new to fishing but I think we may see Lucy
and father Terry by the bankside again soon.
The next chance to join in the fun will be at Christchurch Angling Club’s
Somerley Lakes open day on 31st July from 10 until 4, where the club’s  game
and coarse coaching teams will be on hand to offer expert tuition to
angler’s of all abilities.  This event is free of charge and all are
welcome. The lakes are situated off the A338 between Ringwood and Ellingham.
The event also boasts a full programme of demonstrations and stalls to
ensure plenty of entertainment for all the family.
