Barston Lakes’ Christmas event will include a slap-up post-match dinner at the West Midlands Golf Club centre.

The 23rd December open will be fished on the Solihull venue’s Main Lake with the £25 tickets available by emailing fishery boss Nigel Harrhy at nharrhy@aol.com .
Along with Packington the venue hosted the Garbolino Sensas CIPS League at the weekend, which saw Nigel Bull take top honours from peg 112 at Barston with 33-6-0 of skimmers and F1s taken on pole-fished bloodworm over groundbait.
Daiwa Dorking are leading the league, from Kamasan Starlets Green.
