Everyone wanted to draw peg 96 on the latest Angling Trust RiverFest qualifier on a low and clear River Wye at Hereford and when former World Champion Clive Branson drew it, there was only ever going to be one outcome.

Clive float fished with bread and maggots and weighed in an impressive 54-6-0 of chub and dace to win C Zone.

Upstream at peg 16, Dave Roberts turned in a brilliant display of caster and hemp feeder fishing to land barbel and chub in a Zone A winning 45-15-0 catch.

Last year’s champion, Mike Bedding took top spot in B Zone at peg 57 with 30-12-0 of dace, caught on Bolo and maggot.
