After five hard-fought qualifying rounds, the 25 anglers who fished the British Waterways Stillwater Championships 2010 final at Boddington Reservoir saw a tight finish, with less than 3lb covering the top three.
The anglers fished pegs 2-26 and it was end peg 2 that won the day, just – Shaun Saunders weighing in 60-14-0 on the Method feeder fished between 40 and 70 yards out to take home the cut glass trophy and £3000 winner’s cheque. In second spot and off the next peg was Ritchie Hull with 58-8-0 who also went home with a tidy £1500. The event will be fished again in 2011 on the same venues as this year.
