The near 20 strong groups of children, women, and men wanting to learn something about fishing guaranteed another great day! The venue was the Cai Bach Caravan and Camping centre near Newquay.
Youngsters fired in questions to the coaches who were Helen Pearce, Gareth Davies of the Federation of Welsh Anglers and Welsh Federation of Sea Anglers.
Rig making skills were discussed and shown to all the participants – people of all ages and abilities took part with ages ranging from 8 to 75!!
Fishing on the beach was great fun for all, with Helen and Gareth giving a bait preparation exercise for all to watch and have a go (safely). It was a case of cast out and get amongst the fish, with few dogfish caught plus a small but perfectly formed turbot for young Ceri.
The fish earned him the trophy and all the participants went away with a goody bag provided by Total Sea Fishing magazine, which included IMAX cap, a magazine and Shock leaders.
The event was a huge success again and will happen again in the future. For further details please contact Helen Pearce 01970 626888 or Gareth Davies on 0787 6555334
