2 S Clarke, Mansfield Sensas, 45-11-0;  peg outer 21 Steve Clarke, also on the outer at peg 21, alternated bomb and meat with pole and pellet to take a bigger stamp of fish to 8lb for 45-11-0.

3 G Gibson, Worksop, 37-7-0; peg island 40 Gordon Gibson weighed 37-0-0 of carp on the bomb for third place

1 E Buxton, Leegem, 89-12-0; peg island 41 It was hard to believe that this was the last day of December. The carp fed with a vengeance and anglers needed 40lb to be in the top fourteen. Eddie Buxton drawn 41 on the island caught carp to 9lb on bomb and corn for 89-12-0 and to win the match.

1 T Evans, Dynamite Baits, 60-9-0; peg island 41 With the carp continuing to feed on Moat Tony Evans fished bomb and pellet from island 41 to take carp to 8lb for 60-9-0 and the win.

2 A Payling, Peg One, 55-12-0; peg island 46 Venue regular Arnie Payling was also on the island and he fished groundbait feeder alternating maggot and meat on the hook  for carp weighing 55-12-0

3 N Speed, Dynamite Baits, 42-9-0; peg island 59 Nick Speed was third with 42-9-0

1 T Pickering, Preston Innovations, 113-4-0; peg outer 24 Tom Pickering recorded the first ton of 2007 on the Moat. From peg 24 on the outer Tom fished groundbait feeder with red maggot to catch 21 carp to 7lb for 113-4-0.

2 J Masson, Maver BCUK, 73-14-0; peg outer 6 Jamie Masson caught a smaller stamp of fish to the feeder with meat on the hook for 73-14-0 and second

3 L Richmond, Riverside, 66-8-0; peg island 59 Les Richmond weighed 66-8-0 for third spot.

Daiwa Hallcroft Veterans League (Thursday) Moat  (24 Pegs)

1 L Richmond, Riverside, 55-10-0; peg island 39 Gale force winds blowing from the north made it almost impossible to fish the pole. Bomb was the order of the day and Les Richmond had a dozen carp from the point of the island on the feeder alternating maggot and meat.

2 D Nuttall, PAC, 24-8-0; peg island 51

Dave Nuttal was second with 4 carp and skimmers fishing bomb and meat.
