A sharp frost put paid to any bigger weights for this latest veterans open. Heading the field was Colin Perry from island peg 43. Colin fished feeder with pellet and corn and also pole and pellet at 11m for 5 carp and some skimmers.
2nd D Slaymaker (Peg One Angling) Moat Island 57 18-12-0
Don opted for a silverfish approach and caught roach, perch and a few skimmers on caster over groundbait at 11m
3rd M Burrell (Worksop) Moat Island 39 16-14-0
Mick fished worm and maggot on the pole for his mixed net
4th P Topham (Sheffield) 15-12-0 5th K Pacey (Gainsborough) 14-10-0

1st R Teigh (Handsworth) Peg 3 21-12-0
Weights have dropped with the recent frosty mornings but there were still bites to be had from silvers. Rich fished pellet and caster at 12m for perch, skimmers and roach.
2nd S Quibbell (Hallcroft) Peg 24 18-12-0
Steve also caught mainly silvers on the pole for his weight of 18lb plus.

Pete Bagshaw on island 40 fished cone with micros alternating corn and meat hair-rigged for 10 carp to 7lb and a good win
2 J Masson, Maver Maryuku, 25-14-0; peg outer 50
Second place went to Jamie Masson who also used pellet cone to good effect catching 4 carp and 10lb of skimmers
3 C Line, Retford AA, 18-12-0; peg island 60
Chris Line caught 2 carp and half a dozen skimmers for third spot
4 D Boswell, Tuxford, 16-14-0

Darryl Newman fished pellet feeder to the far bank on Moat for 16 carp up to 8lb using groundbait with pellet and corn on the hook
2 M McIntyre, Doncaster, 57-10-0; peg M island 39
Second was Martin McIntyre with his carp dominated net taken using similar methods
3 P Bagshaw, Maver Barnsley, 49-12-0 peg Croft 8
Pete Bagshaw fished his favoured pellet cone tactics for 10 carp to 6lb
