Strong cold winds made conditions tough for this latest veterans open. However the weights were very close with just one carp separating the top 5. Ken Pacey fished feeder with pellet and groundbait and hairrigged corn to the far bank for 6 carp and a few skimmers.
2nd B Rance (Retford Honda) Outer 22 32-12-0
Barry also fished the tip with corn and meat for 4 carp, but added 10lb of skimmers and perch on short pole and caster for his weight of 32-12-0.
3rd M Burrell (Worksop) Outer 30 32-0-0
Mick also fished groundbait feeder but caught mainly on maggot.

Brent Richards won this small Friday open on Croft pool. Brent fished a small cage feeder with pellets and corn for 7 carp to 7lb.
2nd M Cordall (Retford) Peg 24 25-14-0
Mark Cordall alternated pole with caster and maggot for 12lb of perch,roach and skimmers and later added 3 carp on tip and corn for his weight of 25lb
3rd G Wilde (Fishing Republic) Peg 6 20-12-0
Geoff caught 5 carp to 5lb.

Andy Kinder stormed to victory today with a good ton plus net of winter carp. Andy fished a feeder to the far bank using hair rigged pellet and corn to land 23 carp for his winning weight.
2 Stuart Else, MAP Leegem, 73-0-0; peg island 70
Stuart Else also caught well on a feeder and landed carp up to 9lbs plus in his second place net.
3 Stuart Gray, Worksop, 54-6-0; peg Outer 7
Stuart fished dead red maggot on a bomb to catch mainly carp from the reed bank on the far side.

Neil Vernon netted carp and skimmers on the pole at 11m using 6mm expander pellet over 4mm feed pellet to edge today’s open match
2 Stuart Gray, Worksop; 52-12-0; peg Croft 9
Stuart Gray was in the frame again today with a nice mixed netted of carp and silvers caught at 10m on the pole using pellet.
3 Geoff Hiley, Mansfield; 48-8-0; peg Reed 10
Geoff Hiley took third spot with carp and skimmers caught on maggot over pellet on the pole at 12m.

The milder weather saw the silver fish feeding well today, and Richard Wilson made it two victories in a row in this teams of 4 silverfish league. Richard fished the pole at 12m using maggot and bloodworm to catch a splendid net of roach and skimmers to edge the win from his team mate.

Andy Kinder finished second with a nice mixed net of roach, perch and the odd skimmer all caught on bloodworm and joker at 11m on the pole
