1. B Rance (Retford), 66-2-0; peg island 61 With the cold wind sweeping across moat an area on the island was the favoured draw for this latest vets open. Barry Rance drew peg 61 and fished a small pellet feeder with corn and pellet hair-rigged. Barry caught carp into double figures for 66lb.
2. R Toulson (Nottingham), 50-5-0; peg island 58 Roy also used tip tactics to good effect for his weight of 50lb. Roy alternated pellet, maggot and corn putting groundbait through the feeder for carp to 8lb.
3. P Topham (Retford), 48-12-0; peg island 67 Pete Topham fished pellet cone with hair-rigged meat for carp to 9lb
4. K Pacey (Crooked Billet), 22-14-0; 5 D Slaymaker (Leicester), 21-15-0

1. J Masson, Maver Marukyu, Peg 21 44-4-0
Jamie Masson won today’s open fishing a light bomb rod using hairigged pellet and corn to the middle of the lake, where he caught carp, tench and bream in his winning net.
2. P Miles, Lindholme, Peg 27 34-10-0
Pete Miles fished pellet on the pole at 13m and caught mainly carp for second place.
3. K Baxter, Mosborough, Peg 8 29-15-0

1.P McIntyre, Bait Tech, peg outer 94 81-8-0
Paul McIntyre fished pole and pellet at 13m to catch mainly carp to 7lb for his winning weight of 81-8-0
2.G Gibson, Worksop, peg outer 98 76-2-0
Not far behind was Gibson with 76-2-0. He also opted for the pole and pellet attack for all carp to 7lb
3. S Gray, Worksop, peg outer 110 49-10-0
Stuart Gray caught on the bomb early then switched to pole and pellet for carp to 4lb

Sunday 29 January 2012 Daiwa Hallcroft Open Moat/Reed/Croft (25pegs)
1. J Masson, Maver Marukyu, peg Moat Out 105, 116-4-0;
Jamie Masson was today’s clear winner with a nice ton plus net of carp, all caught on the pole at 12m using expander pellet and corn over 4mm feed pellets.
2. P Bagshaw, Maver, peg Moat Out 98, 75-14-0 Pete Bagshaw’s good form continued with second place today. Pete caught carp on the pole at 11m using pellet.
3. L Coupe, MAP Leegem, peg Moat Island 68, 59-10-0;
Lee Coupe edged th close third spot with carp and bream caught on the feeder with banded pellet and groundbait.
4. S Robbins, MAP Leegem, 51-6-0; 5. W Lomas, MAP Leegem, 50-2-0;
6. D Dare, Mansfield, 46-12-0.
