In what turned out to be a hard match, Dick Clegg opted to fish a feeder to the far bank, where he caught enough carp to win today’s veterans.
2nd J Moore, Retford, 16-0-0; peg Island 61
John Moore took the close second place with carp and skimmers taken on pole and pellet fished at 8m over groundbait.
3rd D Downes, Killamarsh, 15-0-0; peg Outer 37
Dave Downes fished 6mm expander pellet on the pole and caught all Bream in his third place net.

1st S Clark, Mansfield, 59-0-0; peg Island 16
Steve Clark continued his good form with this latest victory on Bridge pool. Steve fished short pole with maggot and groundbait for skimmers to 2lb. A run of carp to 5lb on long pole and pellet boosted his weight to nearly 60lb.
2nd K Pacey, Gainsborough, 37-12-0; peg Island 19
Ken alternated caster and pellet at 6m and 12m for all skimmers and 37lb
3rd N Wood, Hallcroft, 36-4-0; peg outer 24
Nigel used maggots and casters on short pole also for a silverfish dominated net
4th D Oldham, Maltby, 33-14-0 , 5th J Masson, Maver/Marukyu, 28-15-0.

1st B Sullivan, Maltby, 115-0-0; peg Island 40
Brian Sullivan broke the ton barrier for the first time this year with 115lb of carp. Brian fished feeder across with pellet and corn and later switched to short pole with meat and pellet for 10 carp to 9lb.
2nd P Mcintyre, Bait Tech, 47-12-0; peg outer 38
Paul fished long and short pole with expander pellet over micropellet feed for 4 carp and 30lb of skimmer bream to 3lb
3rd S Clark, Mansfield, 45-14-0; peg outer 42
Steve alternated maggot and pellet for his mixed bag of carp and skimmers

Sunday 11th March 2012, MAP Leegem Marukyu League Round 1

1st P Elliott, MAP Leegem, 145-2-0; Outer 21 (Derbyshire)
A good start to this year’s MAP Leegem Marukyu League sees two ton plus weights. Paul Elliott was the clear winner with a fantastic net of carp all caught on a pellet waggler fished shallow to the middle of moat.
2nd M Stanhope, MAP Leegem, 104-9-0; Outer 97 (Derbyshire)
Matt Stanhope took second place on his league debut also with a ton plus net of mainly carp. He too caught using a pellet waggler fished shallow towards the aerator.
3rd M Thorpe, MAP Leegem, 75-6-0; Outer 24 (Derbyshire)
Mark Thorpe took the close third spot with a net of shallow caught carp using banded pellet and luncheon meat.
4th P Wright, MAP Leegem, 73-0-0; 5th P Tatley, MAP Leegem, 71-0-0;
