Pete fished worms and maggots on short pole and into the margins for 6 carp to double figures and 20lb of skimmer bream

Jason alternated pellet and corn on short pole and later switched to the margins to catch 13 carp to 8lb

Steve fished bomb and catmeat for 3 carp and added a mixture of silvers fishing worms and maggots on short pole for his 60lb weight

Alan Tait drew favoured point peg 13 on the island and made no mistake with just short of 100lb. Alan fished meat and pellet on short pole for 10 carp and 35lb of skimmers
2 A Oldham, Maltby, Peg Island 16, 94-5-0
Andy fell just a couple of pound short of the winner with 94lb. Andy fished long pole with meat and pellet and later switched to corn and meat in the margins for a carp dominated
3 A Crouch, Garbolino, Peg Island 7; 77-6-0
Alan caught majority of his fish on meat over groundbait in the margins. Alan caught carp to 10lb
4 R Teigh, Handsworth, 71-12-0 5 A Fantom, Chesterfield, 65-15-0

There were some impressive weights in this latest well attended veterans open. Leading the way was Chris Line off Island 73. Chris fished groundbait feeder with pellets, corn and meat hair rigged for nearly 30 carp into double figures
2 D Speight, Hallcroft, Peg Island 67; 108-11-0
Dave fished short pole with chopped worm and caster for a mixed net of carp to 11lb and skimmers upto 4lb
3 P Topham, Retford, Peg Island 64; 68-12-0
Pete fished feeder to the aerator with hair rigged corn and pellet for 10 carp and a few skimmers

Moat pool continues to produce the big weights for this latest friday afternoon open. Shane Pimperton dominated the field with an impressive 177lb. Shane fished short pole and meat and later switched to the margins with meat and corn over pellets and groundbait for carp to 16lb

Ever consistent Pete Miles came second with 145lb. Pete fished his favoured worm, maggot and groundbait approach on short pole and in the margins for carp and skimmers

Pete Miles, pegged on Croft, used pellet and meat for 35lb of silvers, tench and skimmers plus 4lb of carp

Andy Sellars won this last qualifying round of the year’s league. He caught all carp in his ton plus net using punched meat on the waggler to the middle of Moat
2 L Wright, Map Leegem, Peg Island 55, 74-1-0
Lee Wright took second spot with a mixed bag of carp and skimmers fishing expander pellet over feed pellet on the pole at 6m
3 G Gibson, Worksop, Peg Outer 6, 68-4-0
Gordon Gibson caught carp from the margins using catmeat over pellet to take the close third place
