Ian Donaldson won this Monday’s match on a wind swept Bridge Pool.  Ian fished centrepin at 6 m with maggot and caster fished for 8 carp and 20 lb of skimmers.

2 J Hobson, Hallcroft Island 16 64-14-0
Jack fished catmeat and pellet on short pole fr 8 carp and some skimmers.

3 R Brooks, Sheffield outer 28 56-4-0
Ron alternated pellet and corn for third place.

Fishing was patchy for this latest Moat match but Dave Whiting still found some carp willing to feed from outer peg 6. Dave fished waggler shallow with 6mm pellet and later switched to corn in the margins for 15 carp to 9lb

2 M Cordall, Retford Outer 17 74-6-0
Mark Cordall fished bomb and hair-rigged catmeat to the middle for 7 carp and a few skimmers

3 N Potter, Map Leegem Island 64 65-6-0
Nigel Potter fished paste over pellet  for 10 carp

Andy Sellars won this latest vets on moat pool with just under a 100lb. Andy fished waggler and pole shallow with meat towards the aerator at 2ft deep for carp to 10lb

2 R Turner, Retford Island 2 92-4-0
Reg Turner also used shallow tactics to good effect for his second place. Reg fished at 13m with meat and pellet for carp to 8lb

3 B Sullivan, Maltby, Outer 105 56-14-0
Brian Sullivan had to wait til late on in the match for his carp which he caught on corn and maggot in the margins

With 5 weights breaking the ton barrier and plenty of 80lb plus weights, this turned out to be a good Friday match on moat pool. Andy Sellars found most of his fish feeding in the margins with meat and corn over groundbait. Andy caught carp to 12lb

There was a tight finish for second place with Jamie Masson just ounces in front of third place. Jamie fished corn over pellet on short pole for his carp dominated net.

3 G Westwater, Map Peg Outer 26 115-0-0
Graham Westwater opted to fish feeder with groundbait and pellet and caught carp steadily throughout the match for 115lb and 3rd place

1 D Oldham, Maltby Peg Outer 31 116-4-0Daz Oldham blitzed this Saturday field with an impressive 116lb. Daz fished pellet waggler at 2ft deep with 6 and 8mm pellets for 15 carp upto 9lb

Gary Mumby fished meat over pellet on short pole and long pole for his 12 carp and a few skimmers

3 S Gray, Worksop Peg Outer 39 76-13-0
Stuart Gray fished at 13m with paste over micro pellets for his carp dominated net.

Andy Oldham continued his good run of form with this victory from moat outer 38. Andy fished banded pellet shallow on pole at 13m for 23 carp to 10lb

Jason also fished shallow but alternated meat and pellet on the hook for 16 carp to 10lb

Moat Island 30 Pegs

This was a fitting end to a tight fought 10 match series. Joint leader in the league Gary Mumby came out winner in the final with 76lb 15oz. Gary fished shallow with meat at 13m for carp to 8lb and added a few later from the margins for the victory

2 M Watson, Map Leegem Peg 37 70-10-0
Martin Watson had to wait for the last half of the match to catch his 70lb weight. Martin fished dead maggot over groundbait into the margins for carp well into double figures

3 S Spurr, Map Leegem, Peg 42 65-15-0
Steve Spurr also caught late on in the margins from island peg 42. Steve fished meat and corn over pellet and groundbait
