Croft pool produced the winning weight in this latest monday vets open. Joe Simms drew corner peg 0 and fished pole at 12m alternating pellet and corn for 5 carp to 8lb and 30lb of skimmers and tench.

Second place went to Notts AA angler Roger Holmes. Roger fished pole at 12m with pellet over micros and 4mm feed pellet for carp into double figures and a few skimmer bream

Brian caught majority of his weight in the last hour into the margins with corn and maggots

Despite the colder weather the bigger carp are still feeding on moat pool. Chris Line of Retford fished feeder across with pellets and groundbait for 16 carp to 8lb.

Colin Perry came second from Island peg 61. Colin alternated pole with pellet and feeder tactics for 6 carp and a few skimmers
3 N Wood, Hallcroft, Peg Outer 26, 44-0-0
Nigel also used tip tactics for his carp dominated net.

Andy Lakey drew favoured area on moat outer and found the carp in willing mood. Andy used pellet feeder to the far bank for 16 carp to 9lb

Rich opted for long pole with pellet and caught carp to 8lb and a few skimmers
3 B Rance, Retford Honda, Peg 30; 38-4-0
Barry Rance fished feeder with hair rigged corn for 7 carp.

Moat Pool (28 pegs) 1 A Sellars, Bankside Tackle, 82-15-0; peg Out 6
Andy Sellars fished a ground bait feeder with hair rigged corn to the far bank of Moat, where he caught 15 carp to win the overall match and the top Carp weight.
2 A Oldham, Halkon Hunt, 49-15-0; peg Out 14
Andy Oldham took second place with a net of big carp and some silverfish all caught on long pole with 6mm expander pellets over 4mm feed pellets.
3 J Mee, Hallcroft, 49-13-0; peg Out 28
Junior angler Josh Mee framed for the first time at Hallcroft with a nice net of carp caught on bomb and feeder tactics with meat and corn.

Sunday 4th November 2012 Daiwa Hallcroft Teams of 4 Silverfish League
Rnd 1Moat/ Bridge Pool (32 pegs) 1st G Mumby, Maver Select, 23-9-0; peg M Isl 57
Gary Mumby got off to a flying start in this years league with a great mixed net of silvers. Gary netted big perch and skimmers fishing caster over ground bait laced with joker at 13m on the pole.
2nd A Oldham, Halkon Hunt, 22-3-0; peg M isl 50.
Andy Oldham was close behind in second place overall with a similar mixed net of silverfish. Andy also caught well over ground bait and joker.
3rd D Oldham, Halkon Hunt, 21-4-0; peg B out 18. Az Oldham took third spot with a nice net of skimmers taken on maggot over pellets on the pole at 12m.
4th S Shepherd, Worksop, 18-13-0.
5th D Hiley, Peg One, 17-14-0.
6th P McIntyre, Halkon Hunt, 15-4-0.
