1st A Beresford (Map Leegem) Peg 25 66-12-0
Although the weights were slightly down from of late this was still a tight contest with only 3lb separating the top 3.Arthur Beresford got the verdict from outer 25 with 66lb 12oz.Arthur fished dead maggot over groundbait and maggot for a 50/50 split of carp and skimmers.
2nd M Hall (Tuxford) Peg 32 66-8-0
Mick Hall fell just ounces short with 66lb 8oz.Mick fished pellet and meat on long pole for mainly carp to 7lb
3rd R Abbs (Notts) Peg 43 63-15-0
Ray also used pellet to good effect fishing at 8m to catch carp upto 10lb

1st P Bagshaw (Barnsley Blacks) Peg outer 34 72-4-0
Yet another good turnout returned some good weights for this latest Vets open. Leading the field was Pete Bagshaw from outer 34.Pete fished pellet cone with micros and groundbait alternating corn and meat on the hook for 11 carp and a few skimmers.
2nd A Sellars (Bankside Tackle) Peg Outer 64 70-4-0
Ever consistent Andy Sellars was second from outer 64. Andy employed similar tactics to the winner but added a few carp later on the pole with meat.Andy caught carp to 8lb
3rd A Payling (Peg 1) Peg Outer 61 63-0-0
Arnie Payling was third fishing pellet and corn at 7m.He also caught carp to 8lb

This Friday match saw the return of some big weights with 100l needed for the top 3. Andy Favill continued his good form with 154lb 10oz.Andy fished caster, maggot and corn into the margins for 18 carp into double figures
2nd L Sears (Daiwa) Peg 52 142-14-0
Luke fished meat on long pole and maggots in the margins for 16 carp and a few skimmers
3rd S Clark (Mansfield) Peg 40 112-10-0
Steve fished short pole with meat, pellet and catmeat for 11 carp to 14lb

A close finish on Moat Island today saw Pete Bagshaw edge first spot by a few ounces. Pete fished the pole at 10m using pellet and corn for an all carp net
2 S Clark, Mansfield Sensas, 72-2-0; peg 43
Steve Clark took second place fishing a short pole line with meat, he also caught carp later on from the margins
3 D Dare, Mansfield, 53-5-0; peg 47
Third was Dave Dare who fished chopped worm and maggots and netted a mixed bag of carp and silvers

Steve Clark was today’s winner fishing meat and worm on both short pole and margin lines. Steve landed carp and bream in his ton plus net
2 S Twigg, MAP Leegem, 100-6-0; peg Canal 2
Steve Twigg took second spot with just over a ton of mainly small stockie carp. He fished expander pellet over 4mm feed pellet at 11m
3 P McIntyre, Bait Tech, 96-6-0; peg Canal 14
Paul McIntyre also fished expander pellet on the long pole and finished just short of the ton mark to take third place
