Only 10lb separated the top 12 anglers in this tight sunday open. Pete Miles just got the win from moat Island 47. Pete caught 5 carp on pellet cone with meat and later switched to maggots in the margins for 8 more carp to 10lb.

There were 15 weights over 100lb on this second day of the tournament final although Andy Oldhams massive 269lb weight dominated proceedings. Andy fished meat and pellet on short pole for 32 carp upto 12lb

Pete fished pellet cone with hair-rigged corn and later switched to corn over pellet and groundbait in the margins for carp to 10lb

In one of the best matches of the year at Hallcroft with 11 ton-plus weights, Pete Miles came out the victor with a great winning net of mostly carp. Pete fished the pole at 6m and to the margins using a combination of pellets and luncheon meat as his two main baits.

Steve Clark took the close second place with a net of carp too 10lbs, all caught fishing a short pole line using meat and corn.

Andy Oldham continued his good form with his third ton plus weight in a row, fishing 6mm pellet on the long pole.

The weights were lower today as predicted, but Steve Clark still managed a decent weight of carp fishing short pole with luncheon meat and pellet.

Dave Dare took second place with a nice mixed net of carp and skimmers caught on maggot over ground bait at 6m and late on to the margins.

Paul McIntyre edged the close third spot with carp and bream fishing corn to the margins

Dave Dare took second place with another ton plus weight. Dave Dare fished paste over pellet on a short pole line.
