The 2008 Ladies World Championships is taking place next weekend on the 16th and 17th of August in Hungary where a strong Subfish NFA Team England Ladies will be looking to bring back gold.
The team has been to the venue before in 1996, so there will be an element of experience within the team. The venue itself is a cut-off of the River Tisza near Szolnok, and will need to be fished for small catfish, skimmer and roach at first glance.
Team manager, Tommy Pickering believes “The team has the talent to win medals here and we will be going all out to bring back the gold for Subfish NFA Team England Ladies.”
Paul Derbyshire, Managing Director of England Ladies sponsor Subfish adds, “Here at Subfish we are really looking forward to the World Championships in Hungary next week, and will be travelling out there to support the team that Tommy Pickering has chosen, which is exceptionally strong and we have every confidence that they will do well and bring home the medals.”
The team that will be fishing will be Julie Abbott, Helen Dagnall, Wendy Locker, Sam Perkins, Emma Pickering and Sandra Scotthorne.
