Evesham will once again be staging the big August Bank Holiday fishing festival, and there’s a place in the team event up for grabs in an early-season qualifier.

Team Place Up For Grabs At Evesham
Evesham organisers are introducing a qualifier to enable one team to win a place in the prestigious Team Champs, regarded by many as the best team match in the calendar.
The match, for teams of five anglers, takes place on June 19th, the first Sunday of the river season, with places available for 14 teams to take part.
The competition will take in pegs from the top end of the Town Waters down to the bottom of the Hampton Ferry stretch, with one angler from each team in each of the five sections. The bottom two teams in last year’s competition – Fox Match Trentmen and Drennan Oxford – were automatically relegated and are invited to take part in the qualifier.
