TOTAL-FISHING understands that the carp record has been broken with a fish of 64lb 14oz from Kent’s Conningbrook Lake.
The fish was taken last night (Friday) by John Pack and is the same fish (Two Tone) that Lee Jackson took to hold the current record of 61lb 11oz. It has put on around 3lb since it was last caught by Jim Shelley.
As we understand it, Pack has really put he time in and this is his first run since October. He is a regular on the venue, and caught the Long Common there last winter.
Two Tone is a try English carp and is thought to be around 35 years old.
