This year will see the European Championship being used as a blooding exercise for the next generation of full England internationals, with Mark Downes and Steve Sanders coupling three “experienced heads” with three younger members to gain optimum benefits.

The FIPSed European Championship will be held on the Sava River, Slovenia from 21st – 22nd July.

Mark Downes, Drennan Team England manager said “the venue Radece in Slovenia is a tough venue where all skills will be needed and it’s a great learning arena for the younger element and one where the experienced members of the squad will be able to spread their knowledge and expertise.”
