THE latest venue to be added to our large fisheries and sea marks database is Milton Pools at Great Milton near Oxford.

The water (pictured) has match and specimen lakes and is just a stone’s throw from the M40 ‘Although thousands of people pass Milton Pools Fishery every day, this is still a relatively unknown mid-sized fishery which offers angling for everyone from day-ticket pleasure fishing to specimen carp and pike angling. Milton Pools comprises five pools and provides round-the-clock angling, toilets with washing facilities, a floodlit car park, a small cafe which is open all day at weekends and most of the day mid-week serving hot food, snacks and confectionery. New for 2004 is a bait and tackle shop plus a Koi Carp Centre complete with Japanese Garden which will add an unusual but interesting added attraction to the fishery.
Most of the pegs are suitable for disabled anglers with car access to many of the pegs and by the end of 2004 it is planned to have all pegs decked…..”
