A girl angler has become a social media sensation after a selfie she took while on a fishing trip with her grandparents appeared to reveal the ghostly face and torso of a man who wasn’t there.
Haley Ogletree was fishing with her brother Kolton who was preparing the fishing gear in the background of her picture.
However, when she looked closely at the picture later, next to Kolton there appeared to be standing a black man in a cap and polo shirt, who simply was not there at the time.
The pair were fishing in the United States near the town of Tifton, Georgia and the incident has some Facebook users speculating about whether the picture is a fake of some kind, and others trawling through the missing persons lists to see if the gentleman represents someone who went missing in the area in the past.
The picture was posted on Facebook by Haley’s mum Jessica, who said: “This gentleman was NOT with them today and there was no one else at these back ponds where they were fishing! The only people there today were Haley, Kolton, and their grandparents…Haley was going back through her pictures and saw this and needless to say freaked out and called me!”
One friend Mae West said: “I would do some research on the area. History as well as missing persons. You never know if the other side is trying to tell you something.”
