It’s hard to know where you are with the weather but when the sun shone last week the fish came out to play at Shatterford Lakes.
One notable catch fell to the rod of Dave Greenland, who fished a bubble float and floating dog biscuits from peg 8 on Eric’s Lake for eight carp to 15lb and two cracking grass carp going 17lb 8oz and a personal best 18lb. There’s a fair head of grass carp in all the lakes at Shatterford, with a good number of high doubles up to the 25lb mark. Eric’s can be fished on a day ticket costing £18 but reservation is recommended at this time of year.
