Eighty fished the sell out 2014 Barston Bowl, which produced two ton up weights at the in form Solihull fishery. The match had a later draw time of 11am with fishing 1pm to 6pm and this improved the fishing.
Mick Bull was the first to put a big weight on the scales, and everyone assumed he would win with a 134lb bag of mainly F1s from peg 80. That was until Phil Hardwick went over the 150lb mark from peg 123, picking up £1000.
Phil said he planned to take his family on holiday with his winnings.
