David Hoppe made the most of a practice session at Pitsford Reservoir when he landed this magnificent brown trout estimated at around 9lb.

The fish came from the Sailing Club bank and fell to a buzzer this week during a practice session for the Troutmasters fish off the next day, which he went and won with eight fish for 19lb 10oz.
