Ozzie angler Jamie Dennis poses with what may be biggest shark ever caught from the shore – a bruising hammerhead measuring 3.85m in length.

The shark was taken from Geraldton Beach near perch by Jamie and his fishing pal Mitchen Palmer who shared a back breaking one hour and 30 minute battle after the predator snaffled a mullet bait.

The fish was beaten using 60lb line and was taken back out to safety via kayak after this picture was taken. The posted the picture to Facebook with the comment that the fight had left them ‘bl***y knackered.’
