Anglers attending the Monday afternoon/evening open matches at Barston Lakes have been enjoying some top sport.
The latest match saw the top five anglers weigh in over 90lb with the lowest weight just under 50lb and an average of over 80lb per angler. It’s also great that many techniques are catching, with pole long and short and feeder all accounting for big weights.
Mick Bull won the day with 127-14-0 from peg 15, a bag of fish taken on the Method with pellet hook bait.
Suzi Smith weighed in 104-14-0 for second from peg 19 – she fished pole at six metres plus paste in the margins, with Gaz Wood in third sticking to pole and paste for most of the match for 102-0-0 from peg 7. The next open is on July 14th with the draw at 2.30 pm in the clubhouse.
