Jan Porter set a new personal perch best today during a feature for Total Coarse Fishing magazine’s December issue.
Fishing a stick float off his rod end with a piece of worm over chopped worm feed fed in soil riddled from the bank, Jan latched into the lump around 11am in an 11ft deep swim right behind the car park at Runneymeade.
The 3lb 7oz 8dr fish was weighed and witnessed the photographed by Total Coarse Fishing editor and Total-Fishing.com owner Gareth Purnell, who said: “Jan was so excited by the catch and so was I. Several people came down including from nearby tackle shops who confirmed it was the biggest perch they can recall coming from that stretch.”
