Maver Midlands has signed three big names on the area’s fishing circuit as it sounds out a warning to other match outfits in the region.
Perhaps the most eye-catching is the acquisition of Match Fishing magazine editor Jon Arthur.
The double UK champion and triple Fish O Mania finalist has been a linchpin the success of the Shakespeare Superteam in recent years.
Also joining the Maver Midlands fold run by skipper Wayne Mellings are Les Thompson and Jason Brown.
Jon Arthur commented: “It was a very tough decision to leave my old Shakespeare Superteam outfit but my own fishing, and team fishing in general, is changing and it just felt like the right time to move on.
