The River Don hosted Riverfest’s sixth round and although the river was fining down and rather clear, anglers at the draw still fancied a few fish from A-sections’ ‘Earth Centre’ and so this certainly proved to be!
It was the top of A section that saw a right ding dong battle between Fred Prudham peg 1 and John Mills peg 3. It was John that came out the successor, taking a few more bream on the groundbait feeder for 28lb 8oz.
B Section saw Stephen Whitfield make the most of a bit of room next to the wires on peg 38. Steve fished open end feeder for a mixed bag of skimmers and perch for 11lb 4oz and the section win.
Riverfest 2013 Winner Andrew (Spud) Murphy secured his place in another final! A round 10lb of two bream and a few bits saw him secure his qualifying spot from C section.
