A Kayak angler has landed what may be the biggest fish ever landed from a small boat in the shape of a monster 552lb goliath grouper.

Jon Black, who runs the Crazy Lure tackle shop in Cape Coral, was fishing off Sanibel in Florida and his mighty battle was captured on amateur video – see below

The angler finally got the better of the fish, which  was 83 inches long and had a 73 inch girth. Goliath grouper are protected, and the fish was returned alive. The world record goliath grouper is a fish of 681lb.
