With an anticipated £1500 top prize the match is open to any female anglers and is planned for early July next year, subject to confirmation of dates.
This comes on the back of White Acres sponsorship for the NFA England Ladies team for this summer’s Ladies World Championships.
”We at White Acres recognise there are a number of lady anglers who fish in male dominated matches and we feel that the time is right to give them a festival of their own,” said the country park’s general manager, Allister Wilson.
”The format is to be finalised but will run along normal festival lines catering for 40 entrants, it’s time for the ladies to show their skills in fishing festival at White Acres,” he added.
It is intended that this will become another established aspect of the White Acres match calendar.
