CLUBS only have days left to register to take part in the Preston Innovations Club Champion of Champions final.

The event, now in its third year, sees club champions right across the heart of England go head to head for title and a bundle of prizes from the sponsors.

For your club champion to be eligible, you have to have registered with organisers Midland Angler by the end of February. To do so you need to call Emma on 01327 311999 and leave contact details.

You club has to be in the Midland Angler region to qualify, but it’s quite a wide area stretchign as far east as Wisbech, as far north as Crewe and Mansfield and as far south as Gloucester and Oxford.

Once you have registered your club champion will automatically qualify and will be able to take on over 100 other club champions from around the region.

The final is booked for Saturday June 26th and once again it will take place at Woodland View near Droitwich. 

As always it will be a two-leg affair with two matches of three-hour duration on the same day, with the winner decided on section points and, in the event of a tie, weight.

Despite hot competition, Telford’s Elliot Johnson, representing Dawley AS, defended his title last year with the only perfect score of the event.

Preston Innovations backing the match to the tune of over £2000 and there’s also a stunning trophy to be won.
