Step-2……Thread the main line through the overhand knot. Step-3……Use a pair of pliers to now pull the knot tight. Step-4……Pull about eight inches of the main line through the knot. Step-5……Cut off the line that has been damaged by the leader knot. Step-6……Make a loop with the tag end of the main line. Step-7……Make four turns over the leader and through the loop. Step-8…..Add a little saliva to prevent the knot from burning. Step-9……Now gently pull the tag end to tighten the main line knot. Step-10……Gently pull both the main line and the leader until both knots meet. Step-11……Cut both the tag ends with a sharp pair of scissors or snips. Step-12……Now you are left with a neat and reliable leader knot.
