WOW!!! This picture shows why so many predator anglers regard Somerset’s Chew Valley as the No1 destination in the UK… and not just for pike.

The quite magnificent perch of 4lb 10oz is the fish of a lifetime for any perch angler and fell to the rod of local angler Mike Anderston, who was lure fishing alongside his son Will under the guidance of John Horsey.

Mike was advised to fish a Fox Replicant lure by John, a selection which also so him land a number of pike into double figures as well as the personal best. No surprise then that experts think that Chew Valley could product a fish to rival the British record of 6lb 3oz.
