Makins Fishery, Wolvey, Warwickshire is holding a silverfish-only match on Thursday 30th December, sponsored by Dynamite Baits.

This comes as a result of anglers wishing to fish a silverfish match at the venue where many recent catches of silvers has exceeded 30lb! Depending on numbers the match will be fished over several lakes, Lake One, Lake Two, Lake Four, Lizzard and Lagoon. Phase One will be given priority for pegs and Phase Two will only be used if there’s over 70 anglers.
The draw will take place at 8am in Phase One Car Park and fishing will commence at 10am, finishing at 3pm. The rules are very simple, no bloodworm and joker, barbless hooks only and no carp to count! There will be Dynamite Baits Silver X bait prizes for the top three and a mystery prize (just because it’s Xmas) totalling £800 up for grabs on top of pools money.
