The Angling Trust is thrilled to announce that the Schools National Championship is back for 2018, bigger and better than before, with a brand-new setting at Makins Fishery, Nuneaton.
The fishery itself has great layout for the kids, awesome on-site facilities and we’re sure that schools will be keen to continue their support for the event. The change of venue has also been implemented to make it more practical for southerly schools to put a team in for 2018.
The competition is a teams of five event and will take place on Wednesday the 18thJuly. Historically the competition has fed nicely into the Junior and Youth National, with lesser experienced anglers thriving in the friendly competitive environment.
Angling Trust Competitions Development Manager James Lewis Commented, “We’re really pleased to breathe fresh life into the Schools National and with the first-class facilities on offer at Makins, we can only see the event being a huge success.”
Applications for the competitions can be made through the application form on our webpage available HERE, but don’t hesitate to call us if you’re looking to make up a team, or are having any problems.
