It’s taken four years for senior designer Shaun Little and brand manager Mike Robinson to sign off the new MAP seat box range.
The building blocks of the range, tested in full by the likes of Andy May and Jamie Hughes, are super strong, injection moulded aluminium blocks with hydro formed tubing, a cocktail that keeps the weight right down but makes the seat boxes very strong and durable.
Broken down into two distinctive frame styles, the ‘H-Series’ offers a more traditional solution in two layouts. The ‘H-30 Lite’ is the baby of the range, supplied with a deep and shallow side draw, perfect for those anglers fishing canals and rivers, or anywhere with a long walk where you want to be keeping tackle to a minimum.
It’s bigger brother the ‘H-30 Comp’ has the addition of a deep base unit offering increased storage space. With retail prices of £325.00 and £435.00 respectively you are getting an awful lot of box for your mone!
All the range feature ultra durable 30mm round legs, all of which are telescopic and feature threaded tops to allow attachment of accessories. They work perfectly in conjunction with our unique 180° Multi Lock system to not only solidly lock your legs in place but you can position your locking knob wherever you want to reduce any risk of snagging round it whilst in use and minimising the storage space needed in the car or at home.
All the draw units feature weather seals meaning that even in the most intense conditions, you won’t end up with rigs and tackle being ruined due to water ingress. The units themselves have been strengthened to ensure you can smoothly open draws without any jamming or snagging. It’s also worth mentioning the same units are used across the range and are available separately so you can really customise your box to suit you!
“We knew these boxes had to be special. Seatboxes shouldn’t be plasticky, off the shelf clones,” says Shaun. “Customers these days demand more than that and I believe we’ve delivered.
Moving onto the stunning ‘Z-30 Elite’ featuring our custom, super strong alloy frame, that has been built to withstand anything you can throw at it and amazingly features no obtrusive support bars giving the Z-30 the appearance of floating in mid air. Although it does look awesome, this minimalist design offers practical benefits too! This frame design helps to reduce the overall weight of the box that will be a godsend to many anglers, fed up of backbreaking walks…
The ‘Z-30 Elite’ also features a ‘stacker’ system which can be configured to suit your needs with the range of tray and draw units which can be purchased separately. Supplied as standard is a 30mm and 60mm side drawer unit along with a 30mm unit and stacker lid. What makes this system even better is there is no specific ‘base unit’ you can stack your trays in any order and they will fit perfectly.
