Maver UK boss Phil Briscoe is pledging to make the 2012 Match This series bigger and better after personally guaranteeing that it paid out the biggest prize in match fishing this year – £50,000 to the winner.

Phil, who runs the Larford Lakes complex that staged the final, has secured a two-year deal with the Daily Mirror to be the official media partner and is considering upping the prize pot to £80,000 initially, with his ultimate dream being to run the first UK match that sees £100,000 going to the winner.
