Matrix Dynamite Trentmen’s B team stormed to glory in the first of this season’s Match Fishing Team Championship qualifiers. The team, made up of Ricky Marshall, Tom Potter, Greg Cooper, Stu Burdekin and David Hiley finished with 56 points from a possible 70.

Also winning a place in the Match Fishing Team Championship were runners up Team Drennan with 52pts, and third placed Sensas Cardiff Nomads with 49 pts.

In the individual stakes, Cardiff Nomads Richard Candy took the spoils with an 8-6-0 net of hemp roach from peg six. Ian Leach took second spot with a 7-8-0 net of perch and eels from peg 38, with Ricky Marshall recording a similar net on flatfloat tactics for third place from peg 8.
