The 2016 Mega Match This Grand Final will be viewable on BT Sport.

Rob Hughes, who will continue to present the broadcast of angling’s richest final, said:

“It’s great that BT are getting behind the coverage of angling and to have high profile events televised will elevate angling to the place it should be along side other big sports. Big events need to be televised to show the public and anglers alike how great our sport is and there are none bigger than Match This. It’s the biggest cash prize in UK angling. I’m really excited about the next level of angling programming and the coverage of this year’s Match This will be bigger and better than ever”.

Up until last year, the Maver Mega Match This event has enjoyed coverage on Sky Sports with numerous repeat showings aired after the event taken place. Event Manager, Ben Hughes, stated “we would like to thank Sky for their involvement with the Mega Match This event.

Moving the broadcast of the final from Sky was not a decision entered into lightly, but as the event continues to evolve so too do other elements behind the scenes. We are really looking forward to this new and exciting opportunity”.
