The biggest trade angling exhibition in the UK calendar, the Tackle & Guns Show, is moving to the Ricoh Arena in Coventry and also has a new date of September 11th and 12th, 2016.
Organisers DHP Ltd says that the response has been very positive with ‘a flood’ of bookings in the last fortnight.
Fly fishing’s biggest distributor, Guide Flyfishing, has taken a significant presence next to the casting pool, while The Angling Group (Taska, Nutrabaits and Kryston) has booked 135 square metres to show its impressive array of products. These have been joined by the UK’s biggest bait brand, Dynamite Baits.
The shooting presence has been strengthened with iWholesales returning alongside Trimex Airsoft, Cloud 9 Combat and East Midlands Regional Range who will be bringing the following brands: CMMG, Cadex, Promag, Archangel, Walther (Match Air Rifle/Pistol and Target Rifle)and Hammerli.
Show organiser Dean Rothery says: “The interest this week has been huge as news has got out of some of the initiatives we are laying on this year to attract retailers. We shall be organising buses around the country to pick retailers up, bring them to the show and deliver them back to the drop-off points, making it as easy as possible for retailers to get to Coventry.” *limited number of seats available / subject to demand
Dean adds that the new price structure is working really well. “The move to the Ricoh Arena has allowed us cost savings that we are passing on to exhibitors. For example, last year a 3×3 square metres space only stand would have cost £1,071 + vat. This year the cost is £621 + vat. “Currently the show is 60 per cent booked and we have a number of companies that have made contact, so it looks like it could very well be sold out,” adds Dean.
