The Birmingham Anglers Association has acquired the fishing rights to a new section of the River Severn for the coming season.
Northwood Fishery just north of Bewdley comprises two left bank meadows, one upstream and the other immediately downstream of Dowles Bridge about a mile upstream of Bewdley bridge.
The upstream boundary is clearly signed at the end of the meadow; the downstream boundary is the gate by the Environment Agency River Measuring Station with access via Northwood Lane.
Turn into Northwood Lane off the road into Bewdley and travel along it for about a mile. Immediately after going through the bridge under the disused railway embankment turn left into the fishery car park.
Vehicles must be left in the car park and not driven across the meadow to the bank. The fishing is expected to be similar to Bewdley with barbel and chub the key species.
