Following the demand for the NFA’s ‘Introduction to Angling & the Environment’ qualification, we are pleased to announce the appointment of Brian Hull as the new Angling Education Officer for the NFA.
With the demand for the angling qualification growing with over 80 youth organisations and schools looking to implement the qualification from September. Brian will be working with all these organisations to support them through the course as well as recruiting more youngsters into the sport through the NFA’s education programme.
Many of you will know Brian as the Chief Steward at our NFA National Championships, however Brian is also Deputy Head of his local school and well positioned to use his educational background to move our ‘Introduction to Angling & the Environment’ forward.
Upon his appointment Brian commented, “I am really looking forward to going out and talking to schools and youth organisations about angling and the benefits that it can provide to such groups. The NFA’s ‘Introduction to Angling & the Environment’ course is an ideal tool to work with schools and other user groups as it hits all their key target areas and of course helps us bring many more youngsters into angling.”
Paul Baggaley, Chief Executive of the NFA commented, “Brian is an ideal appointment for angling as he has a very strong educational background mixed with a passion for angling.”
