THE ‘Northern Fish-in’ took place at Elvington Lake, near York at the weekend to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Relief and the British Disabled Angling Association .

Forty anglers took part in what was to be a marathon fishing session from
8am Saturday morning until Sunday afternoon with prizes being offered
for the captors of the largest fish.
The total raised over the course of the weekend was, £7,239.74 – £5,791.79
for Macmillan Cancer Relief, & £1,447.95 for The British Disabled Angling Association.
