The Angling Trust are pleased to announce the team that will be taking part in the FIPSed 12th Veterans World Coarse Championship on the Scolmatore Channel, Italy from 14th – 15th June 2019.

Following a successful England trial assessment day held at the Glebe Fishery, Leicestershire on 19th December 2018 which fished very well with big perch up to 3lbs and skimmers to 2lbs, Joe Roberts the England Manager has selected a strong team going out to Italy.

Angling Trust England Veterans Team will consist of;

Steve Sanders

Bob Nudd
Joe Roberts (England Manager)
Dicki Carr (Assistant Manager)

Joe Roberts stated “Joining the team for 2019 will be Roger Marlow who has re-gained his place after missing out last year due to ill health and Danny Sixsmith and Steve Sanders who have both moved up from the Masters category. It is an honour to welcome and include 4 times World Coarse Angling Champion Bob Nudd and I am confident we will all work very hard at trying to secure a podium place finish”.

“This particular venue will be a new venue for the Veterans team who will be fishing in very shallow waters of 2-3 ft deep on a tidal channel fishing for catfish, and carrassios which will be a challenge”.
