CRAIG O’Brien ran away with the 60-angler Meadowlands Fishery Festival, fished over three days at the Ryton-upon-Dunsmore venue.
Craig had a perfect 30 point score and a massive 317-1-0 total, and actually won two of the days, weighing in exactly the same weight (135-12-0) on day two on Lambsdown as he’d put on the scales on Day One on Warren Pool. Method feeder did the damage both days. On the third day Phil Ringer topped the field with 103-8-0 and that helped him to second spot overall with 27 points and a 220lb total. In fact four anglers tied on 27 points with weight deciding things, Steve White taking third thanks to a 197-7-0 total with R McEneaney fourth and Nobby Pitt fifth. Craig pocketed a cool £1150 for his efforts.
