REPORT
MOLANDS Although a bit patchy, Molands has seen some really good nets this week despite being frozen over on a couple mornings. Catches of carp and F1’s in excess of 90lb have been caught. F1’s to 6lb and carp to 14lb have featured in catches too. Maggot feeder is the top tactic fished half way across or up to the island with the carp now showing to this as well as the F1’s. Top pegs 2 – 10, 15, 23 – 25, 44 – 48 and 56 – 60.
GEARYS Fishing very well with the carp showing on lots of pegs and some big fish up to 18lb have been caught this week. The carp are coming to bomb and bread, pellet or boilies fished at 25 yards or out to the middle. Some excellent nets of skimmers are also being caught with fish to 3lb featuring in catches to over 30lb with pole fished caster or maggot the best tactics. Top pegs are 6 – 13, 16, 19 – 21, 27, 31 and 36.
LITTLE GEARYS Good consistent action this week with nets to 70lb consisting mainly of F1’s but more carp are beginning to show. Pole fished maggot or pellet fished down the edges or maggot feeder have been the top tactics. Best pegs are 3, 5, 7 – 15 and 24 – 29.
WILLOW Lots of F1’s and smaller carp are coming to pole and maggot fished close in down the margins. Dobbed bread or corn is picking up the bigger carp with fish to double figures showing this week. A small method fished up to the island is also worth trying. Best pegs 2, 5, 6, 11 and 13.
PACKINGTON SOMERS FISHERY
SIBLINGS A Fishing well with the bank straight favoured pegs 6 – 13 in good form with F1’s, carp, ide and skimmers showing to pole fished pellet, maggot and corn.
SIBLINGS B Lots of F1’s are coming to the pellet or the pole out to the far bank or down the middle. A few bigger carp are coming to corn or punched bread.
