REPORT
MOLANDS The bigger F1’s have been showing this week on Molands with fish to 5lb and plenty in the 2 – 4lb range showing. Carp to double figures also featuring in nets. The top tactics have been bomb and bread fished up to the island, waggler with pellet or maggot feeder fished down the middle. Best pegs have been 2, 8, 12, 15, 21 – 25, 31,
41 – 46 and 58 – 60.
41 – 46 and 58 – 60.
GEARYS Good bags of carp are still being caught on Gearys with the Christmas match on Sunday being won off there with 13 carp for 82lb and were caught on pellet waggler and 8mm pellet. Bomb and bread are also accounting for carp well into double figures. Skimmers are still being caught off most pegs with nets to 30lb on pole and pellet or caster. Top pegs 7 – 12, 16, 18 – 20, 27, 31 and 36.
LITTLE GEARYS A tough week on Little Gearys with nets to 35lb best and the top catches have been coming to maggot feeder or waggler with pellet or maggot fished down the middle or up to the island. Best pegs 3, 7 – 13, 21 and 25 – 29.
GRATUITIES A small pellet feeder fished to the middle island is working best for carp from 1 – 4lb on punched bread, dead reds, maggot or pellet. Caster or pellet fished on the pole is catching mixed nets of crucians, skimmers, carp and the odd tench. Best pegs are 1, 3, 8, 9 sand 15.
WILLOW Catches to around 30lb best this week with the F1’s and smaller carp coming to a small feeder or waggler fished up to the island. A few bigger carp are still being caught down the edges with corn the best bet.
SIBLINGS B The better of the two new pools at the moment with the F1’s giving plenty of bites particularly around the end of the pool on pegs 5 – 10. Expander pellet or maggot fished over micro pellet is the best tactic.
REEDY BAY/FIRST BAY/CRESCENT All of the smaller pools are giving good sport at the moment with lots of F1’s, carp and silvers showing. Best tactic is to fish corn, maggot or pellet on the pole or waggler.
