REPORT
MOLANDS Fished a lot better this week after the ice had thawed out by Tuesday. Carp to 10lb, F1’s to 5lb and skimmers have featured in catches with pole and pellet or maggot working best, with pellet feeder to the island a good alternative. Top pegs 2, 8, 10, 23, 29, 43 – 46 and 56 – 58.
GEARYS Carp showing to bomb and bread fished out to the middle stumps with fish to 10lbs being caught this week. Skimmers, roach and crucians are being caught on chopped worm, caster or soft pellet. The high bank is the better area.
LITTLE GEARYS As the weather got milder the fishing on Little Gearys got better. Carp are showing on a few pegs with 7 – 13 producing fish in the 3 – 8lb bracket to the bomb and bread or pellet feeder. F1’s have provided the bulk of the action with long pole and pellet or maggot accounting for the bigger catches.
GRATUITIES Carp in the 2 – 4lb bracket are coming to the feeder fished up to the island. Pellet or caster on the pole is accounting for mixed nets of carp, roach, skimmers and crucians. Pegs 1, 4, 8, 10 and 15 are fishing best.
WILLOW Waggler and pellet/bread fished to the island is working well. On the pegs where you can reach the island with the pole, punched bread dobbed along the bank is working really well for carp to 6lb and F1’s.
